March 16: SECURE 2.0 Act: What Plan Sponsors and Employers Need to Know

On December 29, 2022, President Biden signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, containing the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 (SECURE 2.0). While some of SECURE 2.0’s provisions will not take effect for a couple of years, changes are taking immediate effect in early 2023. SECURE 2.0 will require almost all employers to amend their employee benefit plans.
