May 24: Lawyers without Rights Series #MCLE

In partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Lawyers without Rights Series, the Diversity Management Program at Cleveland State University is hosting several events at the Cleveland Marshall School of Law.
Two programs will be held on May 24:
  • 5 pm: "The Syrian Puppet Government"
    Syrian attorney Oubab Khalil and Dr. Naser Danan will discuss the structure of the legal system in Syria and how the Asad regime used the law for his benefit.
  • 7 pm: “Prisons for Profit: The Next Step in Mass Incarceration”
    Mike Brickner and Shakyra Diaz of the ACLU will discuss the implications of privatization of the U.S. prison system.
