The goal of this course is to support legal professionals in understanding what cryptocurrency is, what are the statutes and legislation that currently govern cryptocurrency, and the various in-depth resources regarding cryptocurrency that research platforms provide to attorneys and support staff. After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the history of cryptocurrency and common vocabulary associated with cryptocurrency;
- Prepare discovery methods for conducting research with different full cryptocurrency citations and sample news searches;
- Establish the multiple ways to filter your searches before and after searching for specific terms;
- Gain an understanding of how online platforms have been enhanced to predict what you’re looking for;
- Ascertain the multiple resources available on search platforms to learn about cryptocurrency regulation and current Department of Justice litigation involving cryptocurrency; and
- Organize and save items found conducting online legal research.
