"Straight out of the shameless commerce division, but possibly of interest and hopefully very worthwhile.  The fact that it is FREE for firms is only a bonus!
Over the last month or so it has been made known to PLI that some law firms might be interested in me coming to the firm to give a talk or presentation on some hot patent related issue of the moment.  It has also come to my attention that a number of firms have weekly or bi-weekly sessions already scheduled where one member of the firm is tasked with creating a presentation worthy of CLE credit for a "lunch and learn" presentation.  I am happy to come to your firm to give such a presentation, and at no cost to your firm.  All you have to do is let me speak for 5 minutes about PLI offerings, such as their CLE Seminars, Patent Bar Review Course and Treatises.  I promise these 5 minutes won't eat into any CLE worthy presentation I give, and will meet any requirements as agree upon so as to make sure attorneys attending get appropriate CLE credit.
Given these presentations will be free PLI will not be submitting for CLE credit, but I am happy to cooperate with your firm liaison to prepare written materials so that your firm can submit for CLE credit.
I am happy to talk about practically any topic in the patent arena, and I am willing to take requests.  I am happy to talk as long or as short as desired.  I suspect 1 hour, 90 and 2 hour presentations will be most in demand.  I am also happy to weave in ethics should ethics credits be of interest, which if you are like me you are always looking for ethics credits at the end of the reporting year.
I am located in Northern Virginia, so I am largely available anytime throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
In terms of travel, I will be in New York City teaching the PLI Patent Bar Review Course from September 29, 2010 to October 3, 2010, so I could be easily available in New York City on September 27 or 28, as well as October 4 or 5.  Likewise, I will be teaching the PLI Patent Bar Review Course in San Francisco from October 19, 2010 to October 23, 2010.  So I could easily be available in the Bay Area on October 18 or 25.  I can also be available in Southern California from October 26, 2010 to October 29, 2010.
PLI is willing to send me out to other cities and locations throughout the country, so if your firm is interested please let me know.  If your timing is flexible we can work to find a date and time that will work for you and fit into a special tour.  We can also discuss video conferencing possibilities as well.
To contact me please fill out this contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible."
Speaking editorially, I'd be interested in hearing how this worked. Anyone who's tried this program, please comment! MORE:
