June 15: New Title IX Regulations: Practical Implications for K-12 Schools

Please join Cozen O’Connor’s Institutional Response Group (IRG) to discuss the implementation of Title IX in the elementary and secondary school context.
The 90-minute webinar will focus on the design of effective Title IX policies, processes, practices and infrastructure in the K-12 setting, including both district and site-level considerations. The webinar will also provide administrators, attorneys and other elementary and secondary school stakeholders with an overview of the new Title IX regulations and the intersections with outside processes (mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse), and seek to address the implementation challenges raised by those regulations.
The webinar will also discuss the recent initiative by the United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR), launched in February 2020 “to examine the problem of sexual assault in public elementary and secondary schools” through compliance reviews at K-12 schools and school districts.
This will be the third in a series of webinars hosted by Cozen O’Connor’s Institutional Response Group, a team of dedicated lawyers focusing exclusively on improving institutional responses to sexual and gender-based harassment and violence in the educational context. The series will track the key elements of the Title IX Regulations through the life cycle of a Title IX case from intake through appeal.
