September 9: Expert Declarations

An expert’s declaration is arguably the most important part of their job.
If their declaration is not rooted in facts, well-written, and persuasive, then a case might have been better off without that expert to begin with. An expert may be unparalleled in experience, but without the ability to put their thoughts into words the court can use, they are not very much help!
A good declaration is well organized, easy to read, concise, backed by facts, and provides reasons for why an opinion is given. Opinions are clear, in plain language, understandable, and helpful to the case.
This course is the closest someone can get to a cheat sheet on how to lovingly craft a declaration that is both factual and persuasive. The information provided in this program will establish a framework of success for experts and anyone who uses expert opinions in legal matters. Optimize your expert declarations to be more effective and avoid poor communication.
