September 24/Web: Military Punishment (Part I)

The program will cover (a) the Uniform Code of Military Justice, (b) Non-judicial punishment and (c) Judicial punishment. The lecture will equip the attendee with a basic understanding of the military judicial system.
By registering for this program, members of the State Bar of Texas in private practice will be certifying that in return for attendance at the cost-free CLE program, the attorney will render one-half hour of volunteer services to a low-income Texas veteran, referred by one of Texas’ three Legal Aid programs, or by Texas Legal Services Center.

Speaker:
Janet Totter is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a member of the State Bar of Minnesota. Ms. Totter is an accredited attorney for veteran’s claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Totter earned her law degree at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ms. Totter served in the US Navy, retiring in August 2000. Currently, Ms. Totter is Managing Attorney for the Texas Veterans Legal Assistance Project at Texas Legal Services Center.
