December 4/Chicago+Web: Human Trafficking Awareness #MCLE

The trafficking of human beings is a widespread and tragic situation. There are an estimated 27 million people living as slaves in the world today. And not just in other countries-this modern-day slavery is occurring in our own communities, victimizing citizens and non-citizens alike, and is most often going undetected.
As part of CBA President Aurora Abella Austriaco's focus on human trafficking this year, the CBA is offering a free training program for its members. Attorneys are encouraged to attend this program to learn more about human trafficking, how to identify it, and what is being done in Cook County to combat this terrible crime and serve its victims.
