May 31: Disability Justice 101: Inclusion for Legal Professionals

This CLE will focus on what legal professionals need to know about disability justice, a liberatory framework that calls into account failures in policies and law. Using an intersectional lens, our first panelist will begin with the principles of disability justice, including how other forms of oppression such as ableism and gender-based oppression influence our understanding of tying a person’s worth to their productivity. Then, our second panelist will cover how disability justice relates to inclusion, and how legal professionals must continuously do the hard work of creating inclusive environments when historically the industry standard has been structural ableism. The Legal Lunchbox will conclude with a Q&A session at the end.
