June 21: Jurisdiction in Indian Country 101

Do state and/or federal laws apply within Indian reservations in Minnesota? Do tribal laws apply to the activities of persons who are not tribal members when those activities take place in Indian country? This presentation will cover the basics of civil jurisdiction in Indian country and provide the participants with suggestions for resources to consult when these issues arise in practice.
