Speakers:
- Paul Sobol is the President of Sobol & Associates, Inc. and a highly experienced residential real estate appraiser with more than 30 years in the industry. He specializes in property valuation, market analysis, and complex or high-conflict assignments involving matrimonial, bankruptcy, estate, tax, and other litigation matters. Paul has served as an expert witness in federal bankruptcy court, New Jersey State Tax Court, municipal tax boards, superior court, and family court. Throughout his career, Paul’s work has been characterized by a meticulous approach to residential appraisals and an ability to explain complex valuation issues clearly in legal proceedings. He has also trained more than 15 appraisers who are now licensed or certified and working in the industry. Outside of his professional work, Paul serves as an appraiser for Habitat for Humanity and has been a frequent contributor to the Daily Business Report on WCBS 880 radio.
- Sy Sommer, Esq. is the Director of Product Enablement at LEAP Legal Software. Sy is a 2010 graduate of Fordham Law School and is an attorney admitted to practice in New York. Before joining LEAP, Sy spent several years practicing family law at a mid-sized New York City law firm, and later joined the legal department at JPMorgan Chase Bank, in the Mortgage Litigation group. In 2018, Sy brought his legal education and experience to LEAP, with excitement to further the company’s mission of helping attorneys become more productive with cloud technology. Sy lives in Kingston, New York, in the Hudson Valley, with his fiancé, Shannon, and their cat, Oscar.
