The Neuroscience and Law Center, in partnership with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, presents “A New Model for Advancing Public Safety: Promoting Stability and Accountability Through our Courts and Community Interventions.”

This symposium will present a new criminal justice model created by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office that aims to identify diversion opportunities early, provide individualized alternatives to incarceration, and address the underlying factors that contribute to criminal justice involvement. This multi-tiered approach brings together prosecutors, courts, social service providers, public defenders, and other criminal justice professionals to promote accountability, reduce recidivism, and enhance public safety.
