Topics will cover law firm AI policies, tool evaluation, human-in-the-loop review, billing and notice practices, insurance and audit concerns, considerations for protecting client data, and more.

Speakers:
- Christy Schmidt, Esq. serves as the Adoption Manager for AI and Estate Planning at LEAP. She operated her New Jersey solo law practice for almost twenty years where she specialized in business formation, funding, and management; estate planning and wealth conservation; real estate; elder law; and tax law. Through LEAP's AI Live programs, she helps attorneys effectively integrate AI into their practices. Her focus is on practical AI implementation, legal ethics, workflow innovation, and technology adoption. She currently holds three professional AI certifications and is actively pursuing two additional advanced certifications in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
- Jessika Dymond, Esq. serves as the Family Law Product Adoption Specialist at LEAP Legal Software. Jessika is a 2016 graduate of American University Washington School of Law, where she was a Student Attorney in the Domestic Violence Clinic and is admitted to practice law in Virginia. She started her legal career practicing Family and Criminal law at a non-profit and in private practice specializing in the representation of Domestic Violence Survivors, then transitioned to the Asset Forfeiture Branch of the United States Secret Service where she served as Legal Team Lead. Through LEAP’s AI Live programs, she helps attorneys confidently put AI to work in their practices. Her focus is on practical AI implementation, legal ethics, workflow innovation, and responsible technology adoption.
- Sy Sommer, Esq. is the Director of Product Enablement at LEAP Legal Software. Sy is a 2010 graduate of Fordham Law School and is an attorney admitted to practice in New York. Before joining LEAP, Sy spent several years practicing family law at a mid-sized New York City law firm, and later joined the legal department at JPMorgan Chase Bank, in the Mortgage Litigation group. In 2018, Sy brought his legal education and experience to LEAP, with excitement to further the company’s mission of helping attorneys become more productive with cloud technology. Sy lives in Kingston, New York, in the Hudson Valley, with his fiancé, Shannon, and their cat, Oscar.
