March 25: Cleveland - Confronting Northeast Ohio’s Heroin Epidemic

Over the past decade, heroin use in our community has spiked, and with it, the number of heroin-related deaths. Our panelists will discuss the crisis and efforts to combat it. Judge Matia will explain the crisis’s causes and the drug court’s operations. Joe Pinjuh will discuss the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s efforts to confront the crisis from the law-enforcement side. And Vince Caraffi will explain the County Board of Health’s approach to coordinate the health care response to the epidemic.
